Here you will find the most frequently asked questions. We invite you to read our responses carefully before creating your listing.

We accept quality accommodation that meets all current safety standards. We reserve the right to refuse any accommodation that does not meet these criteria, ensuring our guests have a safe and comfortable experience.

Exactly like on international platforms: when a vacationer makes a reservation or a reservation request on BookStMartin, you receive an email at the address you indicated when creating your account and on the platform’s messaging system.

You have the freedom to choose your booking method:
– manually validate each reservation request.
– or activate the “instant reservation” option for automatic and rapid confirmation of reservations.

Cancellation policy for travelers are as follows:

  • More than 30 days before the stay: Free cancellation
  • Cancellation less than 30 days: no refund.

To ensure optimal service to our customers, we strongly advise you to keep your calendars up to date, to avoid having to refuse requests or cancel reservations.
We reserve the right to delete the accounts of owners who refuse or cancel reservations, except in cases of force majeure.

Payments for your reservations are made 24/48 hours after the travelers’ arrival by bank transfer.

Important: We would like to remind you that rental management and the collection of deposits are strictly regulated in France, in accordance with the Hoguet law of January 02, 1970 and its implementing decree of 72.

Thus, we hold professional property and business transactions & property management cards no. CPI97812022000000008 issued by CCI de Saint Martin and benefit from compulsory financial guarantees and insurance:

• Financial Guarantees Real estate management: Member of the GALIAN Guarantee Fund whose head office is located at 89, rue La Boétie – 75008 Paris under number 171266J, and guaranteed for an amount of €120000
• RCP: Holder of professional civil liability insurance taken out with MMA IARD Assurances under policy number 120 137 405;

This ensures total security and compliance in the management of your reservations and rental properties.

Indeed, to ensure the authenticity and security of transactions, we require all our guests to provide documents attesting to the ownership of the goods.

You can communicate directly with customers from the platform’s messaging system in order to answer all their questions and properly prepare for their arrival.

For safety reasons, all messages are recorded and any attempted off-platform transaction will result in immediate account deletion and cancellation of current reservations with cancellation fees payable by you.

No, but we understand the importance of protecting your property. However, experience shows that incidents are rare and PNO insurance generally covers major problems. Small inconveniences are common hazards of seasonal rental.

If you wish to set up a deposit system, you will have to manage it directly with customers, respecting our ceiling:

– 300€ for apartments
– €500 for villas

You can indicate this detail in the “Additional information” section of your listing.

At BookStMartin, we are faithful to the principle of “fairbooking”, which translates into the application of service fees distributed equitably between hosts and travelers, i.e. 5% for hosts, 5% for travelers.

Please note that additional transaction fees, generated by Stripe/Paypal, will be billed to the traveler when finalizing the reservation. All fees are clearly stated during the booking process, respecting our commitment to a transparent and fair pricing policy.
