To book or send a booking request with BookStMartin, users must first create an account and verify their email for security. Booking confirmation requires ID verification, enhancing safety for both guests and owners. It also helps reduce the risk of fraud or misuse of the platform.

If identity verification is not successfully completed, the reservation will not be confirmed and the reservation will be canceled.

For a secure and user-friendly booking experience on BookStMartin.com, follow these detailed steps:

 

– Step 1. Create Your Account: Sign up to ensure secure transactions between guests and owners.

– Step 2. Search Your Stay: Enter your vacation dates to see availability and seasonal rates.

– Step 3. Select Your Accommodation: Browse and choose the option that best suits your vacation needs.

– Step 4. Finalize Your Payment

– Step 5. Host Contact: After your booking is complete, we’ll share your details with the host, who will then reach out to you about a week before your arrival to coordinate your welcome and stay preparation.

– Option 1 : Instant Booking
If the owner offers instant booking, secure your selection by paying a 25% deposit, with the balance due 30 days before arrival (we will send you a reminder email with a secure payment link). If your arrival is in less than a month, you will be asked to pay the entire reservation.

 

– Option 2 : Booking Request
If instant booking isn’t an option, send a request. Once confirmed, you can pay the deposit through your user area.

 

To guarantee the security of your transactions, BookStMartin never has access to your payment data. All payments are processed with the utmost confidentiality by our trusted partners, STRIPE, recognized for their reliability. 

Flexible Cancellation Policy (last updated March 22th 2024)

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so by email.

Understanding the value of flexibility, our cancellation policy is tailored to accommodate your plans, ensuring you can book your stay with peace of mind.

48-Hour No-Cost Cancellation: Secure your reservation with the confidence that you have a 48-hour grace period to cancel without any fees. It’s our way of saying you can book worry-free.

Free Cancellation Up to 30 Days Before Arrival: Change of plans? No problem. Cancel more than 30 days before your arrival for a full refund, minus a nominal 3% banking fee.

Within 30 Days of Arrival: Life is full of surprises, but please be aware that cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are not eligible for a refund. We encourage you to finalize your plans before this window to avoid any inconvenience.

We’re here to make your booking experience as smooth as possible.

Depending on the accommodation, a deposit may be required upon arrival.

The deposit is used to cover any damages or additional costs that may occur during your stay and the amount varies depending on the accommodation and the owners.

This is a very common procedure to cover possible contingencies. Its amount is withheld either by uncashed check (for French travellers) or in cash (for international travellers). After checking the good condition of the accommodation on your departure, the deposit is fully returned.

We rely on the trust and respect of places on the part of travelers who rent through our platform. So by taking care of the accommodation, you don’t have to worry about the reimbursement of your guarantee. It will be refunded to you on your departure.

 

 

It’s completely normal to be redirected to a login page after your host confirms the reservation. Simply log in to your User Account on our website and navigate to “My reservation” to secure your booking with a payment. This step is part of our process to ensure the security and confirmation of your booking details.

The general rental conditions at BookStMartin serve as the standard for your booking. However, some owners might request that you sign a direct rental agreement with them. This is an additional step to ensure both parties are clear on the terms of the stay. You’re also welcome to request a direct contract from the owner for your own records and peace of mind.

While most owners are genuine, professional verification makes a difference, ensuring properties are as advertised. Unlike larger platforms, BookStMartin’s team, with over 20 years on the island, personally verifies each property ownership, providing a scam-free experience. Of course, unexpected situations can arise where a rented property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will promptly inform you, offering an alternative upgrade or a full refund along with a clear explanation.
