Beach Vacation at Orient Beach Hotel This is our 3rd. Time staying at the Orient Beach Hotel. We love it! Definitely a 5 out of 5.
Beautiful view, just 50 meters from the ocean in the middle of Orient Beach. The staff went out of their way to welcome us. We had our own Parking spot for the rental car, and a lighted pathway to walk to Orient Village only a few blocks away from our hotel. Upon arrival we were given a Privilege Card the would allow us to have our breakfast at a choice of 5 different beach restaurants. It also allows you to have our breakfast. The privilege card also allows you to have 2 beach chairs and umbrella at any of the 5 beaches all included. You can also charge lunches to your hotel bill.

Helpful staff, nice location Nice location, friendly staff and beautiful views. Bed was good and the mini kitchen was a godsend. Why I chose this room, the nature, quiet location and beautiful decor of the rooms.
The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast, which mainly consisted of baguette cereal and mini crossaints. I have been to other hotels with the same number of stars and compared to that this breakfast Sneu.

Exceptional visit and we will be back! My wife and I chose Orient Beach Hotel after several recommendations from different Facebook groups. We were extremely happy with our choice. The staff answered my pre-visit emails promptly and were very patient. In person, they were even more accommodating. The property is clean, well-kept, and ideally located. It's a short walk to the Village of restaurants with L'Atelier being our favorite. It's also a short walk to another of the best French restaurants, L'Astrolabe. The hotel is right on the beach and we started each day with a 1.5 mile walk just after sunrise. Then we took advantage of our free passes to the Wai outdoor gym where my wife took exercise classes and I worked out -- then on for pastries. The hotel includes free beach chairs at three spots, and we used Wai the most but also KonTiki. The room was clean, with a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach; a decent sized bathroom and large shower. All in all, we cannot wait to make our return!

Very Smart St. Martin Choice. Really more like a four star hotel but as compared to what’s on offer generally in St. Martin, it’s definitely more towards five star. It’s located in Orient Bay Village area directly facing Orient Beach.
Reception is small but quaint and very great service overall. We stayed in the -21 line which is on top floor of three story structure and has no neighbors, Our in-laws stayed just below on second floor.
The rooms themselves are quite nice and styled very well for this type of hotel. Rooms are large with a massive king bed, a separate sleeper sofa and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and two burner gas stovetop. Ample storage and a safe as well and of course a tv, and a nice sized balcony with direct sea view. Seemed the 4 and 5 buildings had the best views.
The shower is a bit awkward as it’s one of those half shower glass door things so water can invade the bathroom floor. Also the water pressure isnt great and no bath exhaust, but it does have a small window. Also, you will need to walk up stairs for the best rooms (no elevators that 8 saw).
Also has a small but serene pool. I may want to avoid the roomw directly facing the pool but some may enjoy that. Also, the breakfast is not only average but also the hours arent great. But you can also order proper breakfast if you pay extra and it’s right on the beach,
As for the sargassum (we stayed in June), Orient Beach was replete with it both on the beach and in the surf. Obviosuly not the hotel’s fault and it is part of nature. There was a guy in a backhoe that came eqch morning it seemed to clear it from the beach, but only seemingly in front of the beach club adjacent to this hotel (which was fine with me). Although it can be annoying, we ended up making the most of it and having sargassum fights in the sea!
Walking distance to the restaurant row of Orient Bay Village with shopping that has many very good restaurants! Also has fauan roaming like “soi” dogs, as I call them, and cats which are friendly! There are many many condos, other hotels and perhaps residential as well in Orient Bay so it is seemingly safe, and pleasant. And the beach oberall is huge and fantastic.
If you are not dead set on a villa, this hotel is a very smart choice not only on French side but for the entire island, especially for the price. Would highly suggest having a rental car, as parking is ample and you need one to get out of Orient Bay area.

Great stay at Orient Beach Hotel Great hotel - spacious rooms, well kept and wonderful location. We had a room on the top floor and had great views of the beach and ocean. It was nice to have a continental breakfast available as well as beach chairs. We would certainly stay here again.
The only issue - and it is not with the hotel - is while the beach is beautiful, there was a great deal of seaweed on the beach which made walking on the hard part of the sand, difficult. It seems as if it was particularly bad this time of year. It is though a beautiful beach.

A slice of paradise! My daughter and I spent a lovely 5 days at Orient Beach Hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and highly recommend it. We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. The staff in the front office was very helpful and friendly. Junior assisted us in renting a car for the day by making one phone call and a car was brought to us within half an hour for the day. While it is not necessary to have a car at this hotel, it was nice to have for the day to go to the large supermarket and to tour the island. However, the Orient Bay Village is within walking distance of the hotel where there are many restaurants and a small supermarket.
The hotel itself is 3 stories, and we stayed in a room on the third floor. Junior assisted us with our luggage upon check in and check out. The room was lovely and quite large. The room had a stove, sink, microwave and refrigerator as well as a Nespresso and a tea kettle. We did not cook in the room but it was great to have the refrigerator to keep our drinks cold. The room was spotless, and the air conditioning worked great. The only complaint I had about the room was the bed was a bit hard and we could have used more pillows. The bathroom was quite lovely and there was plenty of hot water. There was a hair dryer affixed to the wall and the only issue was that you had to hold the handle in for it to work and it was quite difficult to blow dry my hair while holding down the handle with one hand while styling my hair with the other. We asked for additional towels to be left each day and they were. The room was cleaned each day which is necessary to get rid of trash particularly if you are cooking in the room as there really were no garbage pails around the hotel to dispose of garbage.
The best part of this hotel was the view and the beach!! The view of the ocean from our room was amazing. I tried to imprint it in my memory as photographs do not do it justice. While the water is quite rough on this side of the island, it is magnificent. Hotel guests are allowed access to 4 beach clubs. Cocoa Beach is currently closed which was disappointing as they are changing management there. We stayed at the KKO Beach Club every day which is directly in front of the hotel. It is a very quiet and relaxing beach club. There were always plenty of chairs with umbrellas. On Wednesday when many cruise ships are on the island, the beach was very crowded. However, the beach club had some blocked off areas for the cruise ship visitors. While they came to Orient Bay by bus by the dozens, they were all gone after lunch. While there is some concern about not having front row beach chairs, we sat in the third row but many times there were no chairs in front of us so our view of the water was unobstructed. The beach is not that large so even if you have to sit in the third row, it is not really an issue at KKO. The service was consistently good at KKO and we found no reason to go anywhere else. We also made use of the hotel pool every afternoon. Hardly anyone uses the small pool. It gets sunlight all day and there are chaise lounges on the deck of the pool It was lovely to sit by the pool in the afternoon and cool off in the water as the ocean was quite rough. The food at KKO is fair. Nothing great. The hotel provides a continental breakfast at KKO every morning. It is sufficient but not great. You can also order eggs for a small fee. They are definitely skimpy on juice and do provide a very sweet fruit juice. It would have been nice to have a selection of fruit juices.
Overall, we loved this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Perfect in every way I can't say enough about this hotel. The staff was awesome - helpful whenever we asked for more towels, taxi, questions about the area. They were great. The rooms are huge and beautiful. So clean and the beds are large and comfortable. There is a perfect little patio with a table, 2 chairs and another chair to enjoy morning coffee (that you can make in your room!) or an afternoon cocktail. The breakfast was sufficient - the same everyday but it worked for us - fruit, yogurt, juice, cereal, croissants and ham and cheese. We visited Bikini twice which was great but seemed more crowed that KKO so we opted to stay here most of the week and it was awesome and great service. The hotel grounds are immaculate. There is always someone sweeping or weeding or tending to something. We didn't go to the pool but it was a nice option to have. We have older teenagers that have traveled around Europe so they fit in well, although I did not see any younger children. The beach is beautiful. The ocean was very rough but my family likes to ride the waves so it was great for us. We already booked next year! Thank you to Florence and everyone at OBH!
