I've lived here for 25 years, and clothing-optional stays are one of the requests I get most. The problem is that booking sites don't make them easy to find: the right villa is often buried among hundreds of unrelated listings. So I did the sorting for you. Here's where I'd stay.

Clothing-optional travel
On the French side, naturism has been part of beach life for decades, and it shows. It doesn't feel like a niche you have to explain or hide: it simply fits the rhythm of the island. The southern end of Orient Bay is one of the best-known clothing-optional beaches in the Caribbean, and Happy Bay, a small cove near Grand Case, is naturist-friendly too.
One honest note, because it matters: full nudity is accepted on the naturist section of Orient Bay and on your own private property, not everywhere. Beaches on the Dutch side are more conservative. That's exactly why the place you sleep makes such a difference.

My guests often ask how to enjoy the sea the same way they enjoy their villa. This naturist catamaran charter is the answer: a day sailing along the coast, swimming off the boat, with no swimsuit required.

For years, Club Orient was the name every naturist traveler knew, with its chalets right on the clothing-optional end of Orient Bay. Hurricane Irma destroyed it in 2017, and it hasn't reopened.
The beach is still there, and still clothing-optional. If you were hoping to stay at Club Orient, the closest experience today is Résidence Adam & Eve, a few minutes from the same beach, or one of my private villas in Orient Bay.
Good to know before you book
It means exactly what it says: you choose. The villas on this page are private enough that nudity feels completely comfortable, and nobody will ask you to decide either way.
No. They attract naturists and non-naturists alike. What they share is real privacy, no overlooking neighbors, and owners who welcome both.
On the French side, topless is legal and very common. Full nudity is accepted on designated naturist sections, including the southern end of Orient Beach. On private property, which is what every villa on this page is, you do as you please.
Most of my picks are in Orient Bay, within walking distance of Orient Beach and its naturist section. A few are in quieter areas like Anse Marcel, a short drive away.
Yes. There is no Uber, and taxis are limited and expensive. A rental car is the easiest way to reach Grand Case, Marigot or the Dutch side on your own schedule. I use DiscoverCars to compare prices at the airport.
December to April is peak season: dry, sunny and busy, so book early. May and June are excellent and noticeably cheaper. Hurricane season officially runs from June to November, with the highest risk in August and September.
