A Happy Bay hideaway where the sea, the hills and the breeze do the talking.
Villa Happy Bay belongs to Mont Choisy, a hushed little enclave tucked just above the beach near Grand Case. It announces itself gently — a French Creole house in soft buttercup yellow, trimmed in dark wood, framed by tropical gardens and great native boulders that look as though they've always been there. Then you step inside, the glass doors slide back, and the whole island opens up: green mountains, an endless blue sea, Anguilla floating on the horizon, and the sound of waves breaking on the sand just below the deck.
The heated pool stretches toward that view like it's trying to reach it, edged by a sweeping horseshoe terrace in epi wood, with shaded niches and a gazebo for the hours you do absolutely nothing. Papaya and banana trees and bursts of tropical flowers fill the gardens. Inside, travertine floors and airy teak-and-cream rooms keep everything cool and unhurried, while four king bedrooms — each with its own bath and its own doors to the pool — wake up to the sea. There's a gym on the garden level, a media room for the kids, and a quiet team behind the scenes keeping it all effortless.
Happy Bay and Friar's Bay are minutes away on foot, and Grand Case is a three-minute drive — close enough for dinner among the lolos, far enough that the silence is entirely yours.
