Growing up in France, I had one dream — to live on an island. At 25, I made it happen.

That was 25 years ago. St Martin became home, and it never stopped surprising me.

It started with food. I’m an epicurean at heart — the kind of person who drives 20 minutes for the right dish. SXM Epicure began as a culinary blog on Facebook and grew into a real island community, connecting locals and visitors around the best tables, hidden places, and honest recommendations in St Martin.

Fifteen years of that taught me something important: people don’t just want another list. They want to know what a local actually thinks. Which beach feels right today. Which restaurant in Grand Case is worth the wait. Which side of the island fits their trip. Which rental, hotel, or experience is truly worth booking.

BookStMartin grew from that same instinct. Not the brochure version of St Martin — the real one. The beautiful one, the practical one, the sometimes confusing one. The island I know from living here, raising a family here, exploring it year after year, and helping visitors make better choices before they arrive.
